Fiber Optic Multimedia Extender System

TORRANCE, CA, June 7 -- The expanded 6900 Fiber Optic Multimedia Extender System from Physical Optics Corporation (POC) is designed to provide simultaneous transmission of one Ethernet or Fast Ethernet, one baseband video, one stereo Hi-Fi audio, one T1 or E1 channel, and one RS232 or RS422 serial data over a multimode or single-mode fiber pair for bi-directional communication application.

According to POC, the system extends the range of Ethernet/Fast Ethernet video, audio, T1/E1, and RS232/RS422 with full bandwidth in each channel while reducing fiber counts and simplifying installations for multiple network equipment. Applications include distance learning, multimedia network, video conferencing, remote multimedia studio, and entertainment information distribution.
