ABPI Editorial Calendar: Click here (PDF) Submission Guidelines: *Method: Email submissions preferred; regular mail accepted.* Deadlines: PTB has a two-month lead-time; see the editorial calendar for specific dates. Some flexibility may be possible for tech briefs, feature articles, and Q&A information on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the editor for more details. * Graphics: Images should be CMYK, 300-dpi pictures in TIFF or JPEG file format. All other graphics should be submitted in their native format. See individual content type for image size requirements. Prints and slide may be sent via regular mail. *Cover Art: CYMK, TIFF (preferred) or JPEG files with a resolution of 300 dpi at a size of roughly 8x10-inches will be considered. WinZip or StuffIt compressed files may be emailed or images can be sent on CD-ROM. * New Products: Email a press releases (MS Word) containing new product information along with a product picture measuring at least 2x2-inches. *Tech Briefs: Tech briefs must follow specific editorial guidelines available here: Review and Print tech brief guidelines. Tech briefs consist of 300 to 1,200 words and one or two graphics. Captions should be provided in the same file as the tech brief text (MS Word). Images must be at least 3x3-inches. *Q&A Column: In addition to addressing questions from our readers, you may submit a complete question and answer set based on your area of expertise. Both the question and the answer should be clear and concise; the entire column runs between 300 and 1,200 words. One or two graphics may be submitted along with the text. A caption corresponding to each graphic should be included with the column text (MS Word). Images should be at least 3x3-inches in size. *By-Lined Feature Articles: Abstracts and completed articles may be submitted at any time. (Previously published articles will not be accepted.) If you would like to appear in a particular issue, please note PTB, the issue, and the topic on your submission. Feature articles typically run between 1,200 and 2,000 words and have a tutorial angle. Two or three graphics are suggested and sidebars may be submitted. A caption corresponding to each graphic should be included in the text file. Images should be at least 3x3-inches in size. Contact editor for more information. |
