Laser Science, Inc. Offers Dye Lasers with | |||||||
FRANKLIN, MA, Apr. 12 -- Laser Science, Inc. (LSI) has introduced its DUO series of dye lasers. Optically pumping a dye in the DUO laser with LSI's VSL-337ND-S nitrogen laser produces pulsed visible laser light. According to the company, dye solutions in cuvettes are exchanged reproducibly, offering users access to laser output from 360 nm in the visible to 950 nm in the near-IR. The DUO dye lasers have dual beam exit ports for dye and nitrogen laser output. LSI says that a six-position selector wheel enables the user to choose dye laser output, reflect out the unaltered nitrogen beam at 337 nm, or insert a beamsplitter for simultaneous visible and UV output. Additional wheel positions are designed to hold neutral density filters and other optical components for flexible experimental setups. According to LSI, the DUO-220 and DUO-221 grating-based dye lasers are tunable with a micrometer from 360-700 nm to 600-950 nm respectively. The system is designed to provide tuning accuracy to within 1 nm of the micrometer reading. The DUO-210 has a simpler design for higher energy output at a fixed wavelength. The products are also CE compliant, says the company. PTB Home |
